GOLDIE

Goldie is a British artist renowned for pioneering the graffiti revolution throughout the UK. Born in 1965, Goldie has used graffiti to democratise the art world, challenge class barriers and bring art to the streets. His most recent works include Cigar Girl Zoom and Goldie Stylin’.

Goldie Biography


Early Life

Born in Walsall as Clifford Joseph Price, Goldie spent the majority of his early years in care homes across Wolverhampton. Despite his turbulent childhood, Goldie’s creative talent outshone his circumstances. Using his experiences to inform his artwork, Goldie went on to become a world-renowned graffiti artist, creating his first professional commission Future World Machines, in 1986.
