In 1962, Warhol produced a series of canvases, depicting all 32 varieties of soup manufactured by Campbell’s. In the same year, he became very excited by silkscreen printing, a technique associated with mass production and advertising. He later issued the soup cans as limited edition silkscreen prints.
We are delighted to present Clam Chowder, a silkscreen print made and signed by Warhol in 1969. This one of 26 artist's proofs.
